Sometimes buying "blind" is pretty easy. I had bought another single on this label (in terrible condition) off the street and went looking on GEMM.com to see what else it had produced. I saw this for cheap so I sprang for it. What I got was two sides of totally fresh urban funk!
This band was clearly the house band of this short-lived New York label; the label is named after the band (or vice versa!) Both sides are sort of (early) Kool & The Gang-type funkstrumentals but are extremely tight and danceable, especially the great b-side with its short vocal interjections.
Not a terribly expensive record if you find it, but I'm unaware of any CD release... shame, it's a good one!
